Business Development Manager – DSA

The role primarily focuses on recruiting and managing the Direct Sales
Agents to ensure they meet their highest capacity within the organization
in selling the bank’s products (Deposits and Loans) and meeting the overall
Direct Sales targets.

Report to: Managing Director
Direct Sales Agents.

• Design and implement strategic business plans that expands
company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
• Build solid relationships with clients, key internal and external
• Develop in-depth knowledge of VBank products to identify profitable
business opportunities.
• Research emerging trends and recommend new product offerings to
satisfy VBank customers’ needs.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow VBank business.
• Present business or marketing opportunities to management.

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the Direct Sales Agents (DSA).
• Interview and hire Direct Sales Agents (DSAs).
• Develop leads from personal network, client referrals and VFD group.
• Analyze existing approaches to the Direct Sales structure and making
changes where appropriate.
• Proactively develop, anticipate, and provide solutions to client needs
and give high priority to client satisfaction, with responsibility for
exceeding agreed service targets and objectives, particularly those
relating to new client growth targets.
• Promote a strong service culture through leading by example.
• Set targets for Direct Sales Agents in line with the DSA structure.
• Work closely with the DSAs to generate new business within large
• Monitor and grow the Bank’s existing relationships, ensuring increased
business activity, volumes, and profitability from such relationships.
• Review Direct Sales Agents’ performance on daily, weekly and monthly
• Achieve agreed direct sales targets and outcomes from time to time.
• Form strategic partnerships with other companies and organizations to
leverage their existing networks.
• Generate and present weekly Direct Sales Agents’ performance report
to Management.

• Work with the Marketing and Corporate Communication team to devise
marketing materials and tools to support sales drive.

• Previous experience managing Direct Sales Agents in a reputable
financial/insurance firm.
• Proven track record of generating new business and achieving
revenue growth.
• Natural leader and motivator of sales and business development

• Demonstrate a capacity to lead and develop initiatives within a
strategic framework.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Detail-oriented and persuasive.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or any
related field.
• Master’s degree/relevant professional qualifications will be an added
• Minimum of 5 years’ Business Development experience, with at least 2
years in a leadership role managing DSAs in a reputable
financial/insurance institution with excellent knowledge of sale of bank
